TUCKER – Goodwill of North Georgia will open the doors to its Tucker store on Thursday, May 11 at 9:00 a.m. Located at 4400 Hugh Howell Road, hundreds of shoppers are expected to visit the new store on opening day. The new store also features a drive-up donor door, making donating even easier for those looking to drop off items.
“We’re always excited to open a store in a new community,” says Elaine Armstrong, vice president of marketing. “Our Tucker store will be bright, modern, and provide a fun shopping experience for the residents of Tucker.”
When shoppers enter the Tucker store, they’ll find bright graphics along the walls telling the story of Goodwill’s mission to put people to work. Goodwill uses the sale of donated goods to fund its programs and 13 career centers located across the region. The new Tucker store is expected to bring in both shoppers and donors who will find the new location to be a convenient place to drop off things they no longer need.
Beyond the décor, shoppers will find everything from clothing and shoes to books and jewelry on the sales floor. Those who visit the store during the first four days of business (May 11 – 15) will have the opportunity to enter hourly drawings for Goodwill gift certificates.
“Thrift shoppers know what to expect at a new Goodwill store, but even if you haven’t visited us before, we think you’ll enjoy shopping at our new Tucker Goodwill,” Armstrong adds.
