Case for Support

How your support of Goodwill of North Georgia helps Georgia.

You've heard the old saying “when you give a man a fish, he eats for a day. When you teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.” At Goodwill of North Georgia, we've embraced the philosophy of “a hand up, not a hand out” since 1925 and we're a part of a larger organization that has lived out that principle for more than a century.

We believe that when people go to work, it improves lives, strengthens families and communities, and energizes the economy. When you donate clothing, books, electronics, furniture, and other goods to Goodwill of North Georgia, you help improve lives and communities— today and in the future.

You know countless organizations that will accept your gently-used goods. What you may not know is that when you donate to Goodwill of North Georgia, the vast majority of the earnings we generate from your donations go directly to supporting our mission

We serve more than 40,000 people annually and with your support we plan to help more than 20,000 people find jobs this year.

Your gifts are tax deductible, and make a meaningful difference.  There's a Donation Center close to you.

Happy Holidays!
We will be observing holiday hours at our stores, donation centers and career centers. Please make note of the changes so you can plan accordingly for your donation, shopping and career center needs!
