Goodwill not only puts people to work, but we help north Georgians find confidence, dignity, and independence. We offer services to people who have trouble finding work because of physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities; poverty; lack of work experience and marketable skills; substance abuse; ex-offender status and a variety of other reasons
We serve individuals from 45 counties. Last year, we provided jobs, vocational training and job placement assistance to nearly 23,000 individuals and helped 4,690 connect with jobs or start their own business at an average wage of $9.90 per hour.
Our diverse training and employment services include job training through real work experience, job coaching, and continued support even after going to work. Our skills training focuses on some of the fastest growing industries including construction, forklift, floor technology/custodial, and hospitality.
We also serve people who want to start or grow their own business. Our self-employment programs help aspiring entrepreneurs learn essential business skills, complete a business plan, provide access to capital, and network with other entrepreneurs.
