1. We are a nonprofit organization. Founded in 1925, we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, one of the oldest in North Georgia. We collect donated goods at 51 donation centers and 67 stores. Then, we sell those gently used items to treasure hunters in our retail stores. Those sales are used to operate 13 career centers and to support job training and job search resources to thousands of North Georgia job seekers.

  2.  Say hello our President & CEO Keith Parker.  As a nonprofit, Goodwill of North Georgia is not “owned” by anyone. Instead, we are led by business leaders and a volunteer board of directors. Keith T. Parker, our President & CEO, has a long history with the Goodwill movement serving on the board of directors for Goodwill in San Antonio and extending his service to the Goodwill of North Georgia board before joining the organization as CEO in 2017.

  3. Our mission is to put people to work. From careers in technology to logistics and warehouse support , we work with over 5,000 employer partners to provide requisite training and resources people need to find a job, keep a job and grow a successful career. Last year alone, we connected over 27,000 North Georgians to employment. This puts us on track to achieve our five-year strategic goal to connect 130,000 to meaningful employment by 2023.

  4. Goodwill donations help save the planet. Did you know it takes about 2,000 gallons of water to make a new pair of jeans? Items donated to Goodwill of North Georgia such as gently used jeans help to divert 50 million pounds of waste from landfills.  For more than 90 years, we’ve pioneered the “reduce, reuse, repurpose” practice through our Goodwill donation centers.
