Tim O’Connell Joins the Goodwill of North Georgia Team as CFO

Decatur, GA – NOVEMBER 24, 2021 – Goodwill of North Georgia – one of the oldest and largest nonprofit organizations in Georgia – announces the appointment of their new Chief Financial Officer. Upon conclusion of a nationwide search and panel interview process, Mr. Tim O’Connell has accepted the position to join the Goodwill of North Georgia team as CFO
and vice president of Finance and IT.

Tim has held leadership roles for a number of organizations in his professional career, including with MetLife and PricewaterhouseCoopers and most recently served as a Chief Operating Officer with oversight of accounting, information technology, human resources and customer service. He is a passionate supporter of community organizations and
previously served as a long-standing member of the Board of Directors for Goodwill of North Georgia, including as Chair of the Board in 2012-2013. He exudes proven leadership in the areas of business strategy, financial management, corporate governance, communications, and human resources.

Tim’s years of Goodwill board service and his wealth of experience, education, and expertise in various aspects of accounting, financial management, executive leadership, tax, and audit, will be a great asset to the Goodwill of North Georgia team.

Goodwill of North Georgia serves a 45-county territory with 100+ stores and donation centers.
