Marietta, GA – As part of its ongoing Refresh, Reset, and Refocus initiative, Goodwill of North Georgia is proud to celebrate the grand reopening of its Marietta store and donation center on Thursday, June 26, following a comprehensive series of renovations aimed at elevating the customer, donor, and employee experience.

Located at 355 Roswell Rd, Suite 500, Marietta, GA 30062, this long-standing location has served the community since 2005, providing a trusted and convenient place to donate gently used items and shop for high-quality goods at affordable prices. Renovations began earlier this year and were completed just in time for the summer season.

The Marietta reopening comes on the heels of another major milestone—Goodwill of North Georgia’s 100th anniversary, celebrated on June 19. With a century-long legacy of service and impact, the organization continues to evolve to meet the needs of modern shoppers and job seekers alike.

“We’re especially excited about the enhancements at our Marietta location—it’s a little different, and we think our guests are going to love it,” said Dell McKinney, Chief Operating Officer of Goodwill of North Georgia. “In addition to fresh paint, updated fixtures, and new graphics, this location will also debut a brand-new feature: The Seasonal Spot.”

The Seasonal Spot is a unique concept space within the store that blends donated and new items to create a curated shopping experience centered around timely themes. Launching with a Back-to-School showcase, the space features a wide range of items for students from kindergarten through college, with new seasonal themes rolling out throughout the year.

The Marietta store’s reopening marks another milestone in the Refresh, Reset, and Refocus initiative, which began in 2019 as part of Goodwill’s commitment to modernizing locations across the region. In recent years, stores in Rome, Cobb Parkway, Covington, Fayetteville, Hickory Flat, Northside, Jonesboro, Douglasville, Conyers, Powder Springs, and Stone Mountain have undergone similar transformations. As of 2025, stores in Dawsonville, Cumming, Grasslands, Sandy Springs, Tucker, Roswell, East Athens, West Athens, Loganville, and, most recently, Stone Mountain have also been updated, with more on the way.

“The refreshed spaces, the improved layout, the new seasonal concepts—will make the thrifting experience more engaging and more rewarding,” said McKinney.Every purchase made at a Goodwill location helps fuel the nonprofit’s mission to put people to work. Revenue from stores and online sales supports job training, career development, and employment placement programs throughout North Georgia.

In fiscal year 2024, Goodwill of North Georgia was once again named the #1 Goodwill in the nation for job placement, connecting more than 22,000 individuals to meaningful employment. Just two weeks ago, the organization celebrated the graduation of over 718 individuals who completed workforce training programs—transforming their lives and futures through free, high-demand career pathways.

With 14 no-cost career centers, Goodwill serves veterans, single parents, youth, individuals with disabilities, returning citizens, and many others as they work toward economic independence. The organization’s long-term goal is to help more than 150,000 job seekers secure employment by the year 2030.
