Meet Tabitha Weaver

When Tabitha Weaver arrived at the Old National Career Center, she carried great responsibility. As a mother of 10, she was determined to build stability for her family. Through TANF, Tabitha joined Goodwill’s Work Experience training. Despite past challenges, including involvement with the justice system, she began with honesty, humility, and a clear desire to change her life.
From day one, Tabitha showed professionalism and a strong desire to grow. During intake, she discussed her background in warehousing and food service, and identified her strengths and growth areas. She was open about her barriers and receptive to coaching, demonstrating readiness for change.
As training continued, Tabitha became one of the program’s most engaged participants. She completed daily job searches, supported operations by sorting, color-coding, restocking, and cleaning, and showed positive work behavior, teamwork, and customer service.
Tabitha’s dedication paid off. She received two job offers at once, reflecting her participation and determination. She accepted a Grader position at Old National Goodwill, starting at $16.25 per hour, showing her commitment to independence and family support.
She officially began work with Goodwill on March 16, 2026, marking a major milestone in her path to stability.
Throughout the program, Tabitha showed resilience, accountability, and growth. She balanced raising ten children, addressed past obstacles, and worked daily for a better future.
Tabitha’s story is a testament to human transformation. When stubborn determination meets opportunity, even the heaviest burdens can yield to hope and a new future.
