New Location Set to Open October 3

ATLANTA – Goodwill of North Georgia will open the doors Duluth store on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 9:00 a.m. Located at 3064 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Duluth GA 30097, hundreds of shoppers are expected to visit the new store on opening day. The new store features a drive-up donor door, making donating even easier for those looking to drop off items.

“The Duluth store features our new look and provides a modern shopping experience,” says Elaine Armstrong, vice president of marketing. “Shoppers can expect to find great bargains on the items we’re known for like household treasures and bargain priced clothing, as well as new items like cell phone chargers and socks!”

When shoppers enter the Duluth store, they’ll find graphics along the walls telling the story of Goodwill’s mission to put people to work. Goodwill uses the sale of donated goods to fund its programs and 13 career centers located across the region and an online environment, careerconnector.org, that offers the same level of care and guidance found in the physical career center locations.

The new store is expected to bring in both shoppers and donors who will find the new location to be a convenient place to drop off things they no longer need.

Beyond the décor, shoppers will find everything from clothing and shoes to books and jewelry on the sales floor. Those who visit the store during the first four days of business (Oct. 3 – 6) will have the opportunity to enter hourly drawings for Goodwill gift certificates.

“Whether you are a regular thrift shopper or a newcomer to Goodwill stores, we think you’ll enjoy shopping with us,” Armstrong adds.
