Goodwill of North Georgia Names New Members to Executive Staff
New hires bring strategic direction and leadership to the non-profit
DECATUR, Ga. – Goodwill of North Georgia announces the hires of two new members for their executive team, a sign of new growth under the leadership of President and CEO Keith Parker who joined the agency last fall. After an extensive search, the organization is filling its open position for vice president of donor services and adding a general counsel and vice president of legal affairs and compliance to its executive team.
Mariangela “Bonnie” Corales will join Goodwill as general counsel and vice president of legal affairs and compliance. In addition to presiding over agency related legal matters, she will oversee the organization’s commercial leasing and corporate compliance functions.
“It is exciting and both professionally and personally fulfilling to join an organization whose core mission is improving people’s lives. Becoming the general counsel of Goodwill of North Georgia is a dream come true. I have been visiting Goodwill stores my entire life, as a child with my parents and siblings and as an adult with my children. The Goodwill brand is synonymous with positively impacting lives and the community and I could not be more proud to be part of the team and to assist in the mission.”
Corales joins Goodwill after 12 years with the City of Atlanta, where she served on the legal team, most recently as deputy city attorney. A native of Miami, Corales graduated from Florida International University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts, and the University of Miami where she earned her Juris Doctorate.
In addition to Corales, Dell McKinney will join Goodwill’s executive staff as vice president of donor services. McKinney will preside over all aspects of store and donation center operations and will lead the charge to grow, diversify and transform Goodwill’s donated goods business.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the executive leadership team at Goodwill of North Georgia. As a people first leader, I consider it an honor and privilege to lead an organization who’s primary focus is to support the people in the communities where we do business.”
A career retail executive, McKinney possesses extensive industry experience and recently served as the senior group vice president at Target Corporation. A Texas native, he grew up in Houston and earned his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University.
“I’m thrilled to welcome both Bonnie and Dell into the Goodwill family,” said Parker. “Both are leaders and standouts in their respective areas of expertise. They join a team that expects nothing less than outstanding, industry leading results.”
Corales and McKinney are expected to join Goodwill in early September.
