Owl Transportation

Throughout North Georgia, companies partner with Goodwill to provide on-the-job training sites and hire our program participants. Our job seekers appreciate that they can be matched with an employer that is seeking their skill set, opening doors to new and exciting opportunities. Our partnership with Owl Transportation continues to broaden our reach in the community, helping to put more North Georgians to work. We are pleased to recognize the firm with our 2020 Employer Partner of the Year award.

Owl Transportation prioritizes safety and ensures that staff provide reliable and quality service consistently throughout their service area. The company assists Goodwill of North Georgia with its Logistics training program and helps prepare program graduates to enter the transportation industry.

Crucita Dansby, General Manager at Owl Transportation, knows firsthand how important it is to equip employees with the tools they need to be successful and has enjoyed training Goodwill jobseekers. “Everyone that has come through our doors from Goodwill has added value to our company,” said Dansby. “Goodwill’s program participants have all been excellent and very professional.”

With a background in staff training, business development, and marketing, Dansby values seeing people for who they are and believes in giving everyone a chance. “It’s the willingness to learn, not credentials, that get you where you need to go in life.” she says.

Owl Transportation was founded in 2003, and in 2009, opened a one-room office in Atlanta, focused on serving the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs office. The company now boasts eleven offices serving seven states. As Owl Transportation expands, Dansby looks forward to the company’s partnership with Goodwill of North Georgia growing as well. “I love that Goodwill is giving people the opportunity to go to work. We want to help people that are ready to go to the next level.”

With the common goal of reaching new heights of success, Owl Transportation will continue to play a significant role in helping Goodwill of North Georgia achieve its mission of putting people to work.
