Kennesaw resident Destiny Motley visited Goodwill’s Smyrna Career Center in late August 2021 to enroll in the Technology Careers Program. When the virtual class began in mid-September, she proved to be an engaged and attentive student. Destiny’s willingness to seek clarification when she needed more details about the concepts impressed her instructors.

In addition to the skills included in the curriculum, Destiny also benefitted from opportunities to increase her knowledge thanks to the generous support provided by the Microsoft grant. By November, Destiny had passed the ITIL and ServiceNow exams, and in early December, she graduated from the program.

Although Destiny was initially considering a post-course internship, she ultimately accepted a position with Randstad Technology Group, joining the organization in mid-February 2022. As an implementation station analyst, she is earning a good salary and has terrific advancement potential. Recently celebrating 150 days on the job, Destiny is enjoying her new career and is grateful to Goodwill for offering this outstanding program.
