New Year, New Job Fairs
We know that many people start off the new year with aspirations to improve. Most people implement a new workout routine, try to eat healthier, or vow to save money. What if your goal for 2023 is to get your first job? Maybe you’re looking for a new career path this year?
If your New Year’s resolution is to get a first job, better job, or find a career, then you should check out our hiring events now and throughout the rest of the year. Throughout the month of January, we hosted a series of New Year New Job Fairs held across many of our 100+ locations. The goal of these hiring events was to create opportunities of growth for many job seekers. Finding a new job to begin the new year can be the first step of improvement folks are looking for, but sometimes it’s hard to get started. This is where Goodwill jumped in to help. Job seekers in attendance met employers and applied for positions in various industries, such as technology, customer service, supply chain management, logistics, and hospitality.
The New Year New Job Fairs included career centers in Rome, Sandy Springs, Dawsonville, Atlanta, Cornelia, Smyrna, Woodstock, Stockbridge, Oakwood, Decatur, and Athens. Smyrna’s Career Center featured employers such as Marriott and Cobb County Schools.
These job fairs have opened the door for thousands of job seekers looking to connect with employers in a wide range of industries and company sizes. Meeting these employers could be the first step in finding stability and hope for the new year. These job fairs are just one way Goodwill works to fulfill our mission: to put people to work.
The New Year New Job Fairs have officially wrapped up, but there are always a variety of events happening at our career centers and virtually. Check out our events page and follow us on social media for more information.
