Goodwill® Announces New Board Members
New additions bring depth of knowledge to board of directors
DECATUR, Ga. – Goodwill of North Georgia is announcing the appointment of three new board members for the 2019 fiscal year.
Kyle Waide, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Community Food Bank is one of three new members. “I am honored and thrilled to join the outstanding group of leaders on the board of Goodwill of North Georgia,” said Waide. “This organization does amazing work in our community to put people to work. I’m excited to do what I can to support Keith Parker and his team as they work to expand and enhance Goodwill’s impact in the years to come.”
Dr. Kofi Smith, president and chief executive officer of the Atlanta Airlines Terminal Company, also joins the board. “It is truly an honor to be selected to serve on the Goodwill of North Georgia board of directors. I am truly thrilled that God has given me this opportunity to assist Mr. Parker and the Goodwill board of directions with continuing to change lives by putting people to work,” said Smith. “I am particularly excited that my service on this board will impact little children whose parents are desiring work, the disabled who need work, while also providing viable work to those who are living on the edge of homelessness.”
Noni L. Ellison, chief compliance officer, general counsel and corporate secretary for Carestream Dental, is the third addition to the board. “I am thrilled to join the board of Goodwill of North Georgia and support CEO Keith Parker and his leadership team in fulfilling the organization’s mission of putting people to work,” said Ellison.
The new and existing board volunteers bring expertise and experience from varying industries to help lead and govern the nonprofit.
“Representation matters, and one of my goals was to include leaders on our board who reflect the dynamic communities Goodwill serves,” said Keith Parker, president and CEO of Goodwill of North Georgia. “I’m excited to work with our new members to drive our business goals, uncover innovative solutions to market challenges and transform our organization.”
