At Goodwill of North Georgia, we are working every day to keep our employees, donors, shoppers and jobseekers safe while staying true to our mission to put people to work. To that end, we thought it was a great time to pause and extend our thanks to all of our donors who have continued to support us during these uncertain times.

In the last four weeks, we have collected more than 92,000 donations of your gently used items. This translates into 85,000 hours of job training programs and support we will be able to offer jobseekers right here in our community.

With thousands of North Georgians out of work due to the pandemic, we know that our services connecting people to work are going to be in high demand. In fact, we have already had record numbers of visitors to our virtual career center – careerconnector.org – over the last month and we expect to see those numbers to continue to grow. You make it possible for us to do this work with your support.

Now that our donation centers are temporarily closed, there are a couple of ways you can continue to support our efforts.

  1. Shop online: You can continue shopping with us virtually at goodwillng.org/shop-online
  2. Donate cash: Make a monetary donation to allow us to continue to offer job search support.
  3. Hold on to your donations: We’ll be able to accept donations soon. So, if you have some items that you’d like to clear out, hold on to them and we’ll be happy to receive them once we reopen.

We will continue to reach out with updates as this situation continues to evolve. For the latest information on our coronavirus response, please visit goodwillng.org/coronavirus-response or follow us on social media. As always, we thank you for your continued support of Goodwill. Stay safe and take care of each other.
